XtraCal Plus™ is a remarkable concentrated, low volume, high calorie supplement made from MCT oil and two sources of protein. Each 45 mL packet contains 230 calories and 14 grams of protein but only 9 grams of sugar.
      Patients with limited food intake, such as those with chewing and swallowing problems, typically do not benefit from all of the food served to them. Increasing nutrient intake can eliminate the need to add another item to the resident's tray. A can of nutritional supplement competes with the resident's appetite for tray foods and can create even greater waste. XtraCal Plus can be mixed with typical low nutrient dense foods to increase their nutritional value or it can be added to enrich the person's preferred food- highlighting the items they'll eat.
      XtraCal Plus is water soluble so it can be added to all types of beverages, thickened juices, soft and pureed foods - even tube feeding formula's - without lumping or changing consistency.
